Toyota Camry 2026: Here's What's New

While most midsize sedans have seen a decline in popularity in recent years, the Toyota Camry doesn’t quite follow that trend. In fact, the Japanese automaker has just released a press statement announcing several updates to its sedan lineup for 2026—enhancements that are likely to make it even more appealing.

The most significant addition is undoubtedly the Nightshade edition, a special package available on SE, SE Upgrade, XLE, and XSE models. As its name suggests, this package gives the car a darker, sportier look by replacing chrome accents with gloss black elements, including the grille, door handles, mirror caps, and more. Toyota also adds striking 19-inch black-painted wheels.

To make the Nightshade package even more distinctive, it is only available in three exterior colors: white, Supersonic Red, and Midnight Black.

Among the other noteworthy updates is a new color called Dark Cosmos—a bluish-grey shade that is both subtle and elegant. It complements the Camry’s style and purpose perfectly.

Efficient and Fun to Drive

There are no mechanical changes for the 2026 Toyota Camry. As you may already know, Toyota’s midsize sedan is now offered exclusively as a hybrid. It’s powered by a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine combined with one or two electric motors, depending on the version. The front-wheel-drive version delivers 225 horsepower, while the all-wheel-drive variant offers 232 horsepower. However, the most impressive figure is the car’s fuel economy: just 4.9 L/100 km on average in the SE front-wheel-drive configuration—an astoundingly low number.

The Toyota Camry is also a very comfortable and enjoyable car to drive. It even includes a SPORT mode that enhances agility and responsiveness.

The Japanese automaker’s sedan comes equipped with a wealth of technologies, including an available 12.3-inch multimedia screen and a premium JBL sound system with 9 speakers.

Toyota has announced that the 2026 Camry will arrive at dealerships this summer, and it’s a car we’re eagerly looking forward to.
