New PeeWee Hockey Tournament – Driven To Be Different
Country Hills put on a “whale” of a hockey tournament for Mcknight’s PeeWee’s

On December 11th, 2015 the Country Hills Toyota “Driven to be Different” tournament kicked off with 8 teams vying for the coveted “Driven to be Different” cup.

The tournament — hosted by our partners at the McKnight Hockey Association — had Pee Wee teams from all over the city facing off over the course of the weekend. The level of play demonstrated by these teams was outstanding and the competition was fierce. Calgary’s minor hockey community was well represented by the teams participating: the Simon’s Valley Storm, Glenlake Hawks, Crowfoot Ravens, Springbank Rockies, Bow River Bruins, Westwood Warriors and the host team the McKnight Mustangs.

The weekend culminated with the final games being played in front of a packed house at the Huntington Hills Community Association. After hard-fought battles in each division, the Driven to the Different Cup champions were decided. In division 12 the Westwood Warriors came out on top with the host McKnight Mustangs triumphing in division 9.

Being involved in our community is a great part of what we get to do here at Country Hills Toyota. Working with minor hockey teams in our area gives us a chance to get involved and support people in our community at a grassroots level.

It’s been our pleasure to be involved with the McKnight Hockey Association since 2013 and look forward to many more years working together.

A special thank you goes out to the players, coaches, parents and volunteers who made this tournament possible. We look forward to next year.
